Best known for her innocent charm, angelic curly hair and varies dialects, American 80’s sweetheart, Diane Franklin has starred in some of the most iconic cult films of the 80s.

Starting her film career she debuted as Karen, the dream girl, in THE LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN (1982). She then played the fallen daughter, Patricia Montelli, in the horror film, AMITYVILLE II: THE POSSESSION(1982). In the mid-80s she starred as the awkward new girl in the ABC movie for television, DEADLY LESSONS with Ally Sheedy, and played a sexy babysitter in CBS TV movie, SUMMERGIRL, with Barry Bostwick, and Kim Darby. She recurred in several TV series, until 1985, when she won her most beloved role as the spirited French-exchange student, Monique Junet, playing opposite John Cusack, in the comedy BETTER OFF DEAD (1985). Audiences may also recognize Diane, as the Medieval babe, Princess Joanna, playing opposite Keanu Reeves in the original,  BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (1989).

Today, Diane returns to acting with four films, all scheduled to be released this year (2018), one of which is AMITYVILLE MURDERS: THE HAUNTING ON LONG ISLAND, this time playing ‘the mother’, Louise Defeo (2018).

In addition to Diane’s acting credits, she has been teaching acting to kids, teens and adults for over 15 years, and published two personal autobiographies about her life as an 80s actress, titled, Diane Franklin: The Excellent ADVENTURES of the Last American, French-Exchange Babe of the 80s(Amazon/Kindle) and Diane Franklin: The Excellent CURLS of the Last American, French-Exchange Babe of the 80s(Amazon).

Diane lives in Los Angeles with her big-hearted husband of 29 years, Ray, her brilliantly funny daughter, Olivia, her musically gifted son, Nick, her Clumber Spaniel dog and her chinchilla, Mr. Pibb.
