Dua Lipa has shared a new version of her 2020 hit song ‘Physical’, now featuring Troye Sivan – check it out below.
Last month, Lipa announced a special re-release of ‘Future Nostalgia’ in celebration of its fifth anniversary. The vinyl set is out today (March 28), almost exactly five years after the album first dropped.
As part of the re-release, ‘Physical’ has received a remix of sorts, now containing an entirely new verse from Troye Sivan, who was previously not on the track.
On his verse, Sivan sings: “We’re verging on the edge of spiritual / You’re deeper than you thought, it’s a miracle / Don’t you agree? / Can you evеn believe? / Baby, I can lovе you all night / If you ask me to—, I might / Babe, get a taste of the moment / Stay up ’til the early morning, yeah/ My final fantasy”
The track is out now, and can be listened to below.
The remix was first teased last week (March 22), when Dua Lipa brought out Sivan as a special guest while performing one of her five sold-out dates in Melbourne, Australia. While the pair did not perform the song – instead, they performed Sivan’s ‘Rush’ – they gave one lucky fan in the audience a USB stick containing the ‘Physical’ remix.
In a glowing five-star review of ‘Future Nostalgia’, NME‘s Rhian Daly wrote: “When she made this album, the musician couldn’t know just how awful a state the world would be upon it’s released. But that just makes her achieving her mission all the more important. ‘Future Nostalgia’ is a bright, bold collection of pop majesty to dance away your anxieties to… if only for a little while.”
Lipa’s current Australia tour is in support of her album ‘Radical Optimism’ last summer, and at previous Melbourne shows this month, she has also covered Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, Natalie Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’ and AC/DC’s ‘Highway To Hell’.
After wrapping up in Australia, Lipa is heading to the UK for even more live shows this summer, kicking off the run with two huge concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium (June 20, 21) followed by two dates at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 24 and 25.
Before then, she’ll be touring across Europe performing in Paris, Belgium, Milan, Amsterdam and more. Visit here for Europe tickets and here for UK tickets. The dates come following her huge headline slot at Glastonbury 2024.
